The Prince of Wales Opera House Foyer is our Festival Hub. All artists on arrival need to front at our office and book in. All visitors please find our Team here for friendly advice on all things Festival. We will have limited printed programs although will have them up in various locations and on our website. Please book into workshops at the Opera House Hub. The Hub is located in Mayne Street opposite IGA.

OUR TRADITION
Gulgong Folk Festival is a grass roots, family friendly music festival...
Steeped in folk music tradition, Gulgong Folk festival has provided music, poetry trad sessions, busking, concerts at the Prince of Wales Opera House, dancing and pure folk fun for over 35 years. We welcome you to join us for the weekend from Friday January 6 to Sunday January 8 2023.
FREE Family entertainment for everyone. Bring an instrument, or not, just bring along yourselves, your friends, the kids and the fur family, for a great time in Gulgong town. We are only 4 hours from Sydney and Newcastle. We have plenty of accommodation and camping.. Tell your friends!

Trad Folk sessions are part of Gulgong's culture
Folk sessions have been a traditional part of the Gulgong culture and they are alive and well today. Held each fortnight at the Gulgong Centennial Hotel where our folk family and visitors join in and enjoy a great night of music, laughs and comradeship. There will be plenty of folk sessions happening at many venues including the 'Cenny' over the Folk Festival weekend!!
