Tom Hamilton
Tom Hamilton was born in Dublin, Ireland and came to Australia as a child, living in various towns in the Hunter Valley, before joining the RAAF in 1966.
A confirmed folkie since the 60's he started writing his own material in 1996 after a real hard listen to his social conscience and now exclusively performs his own material.
Tom has released six albums. Remembrance in 1997; Shamrocks and Wattle in 1998; Barbwire and Bullshit in 2000; Further down the Track in 2005; Hamilton's Fifth in 2007 and Glasnevins Grey Walls this year.
His music is a strong reflection of his Irish heritage and military experience. He has performed throughout Australia and in the UK, Germany, USA and Canada. A highlight was performing in Darkey Kelly's Pub in Dublin on Easter Sunday 2007 as part of the Easter Rising Commemoration.
